2004 Ford F-250 5.4 2V XLT SuperCab 8' Bed – 127,xxx Miles
I'm looking to sell my 2004 Ford F-250 5.4 2V XLT SuperCab with the 8' bed. It currently has 127,xxx miles. The last year of the reliable 2V. 4x4 and AC works as it should.
I've replaced a significant number of parts over the last year, including:
All 8 coil boots
Thermostat
Blower motor control module and pigtail
PCV hose and PCV valve
All 16 fuel injector O-rings
All 8 spark plugs
Cylinder head temperature sensor
Intake manifold
Valve cover gaskets
Valley coolant pipe beneath the intake manifold and O-rings
Door jamb switch
All 6 driveline U-joints
Idle air control valve
Coolant flush
Transmission fluid drain and refill
Front sway bar bushings and sway bars
Driveline center support bearing
Alternator
Fuel tank straps
Brake Lines
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few other items.
I have a brand new set of exhaust manifolds and a spare coil pack I will include with the truck.
To be completely transparent, There is a coolant leak near the rear passenger side of the engine. I'm not a mechanic, so I can't say with certainty whether it's the head gasket or another component. I have not been able to pinpoint the exact source of the leak. There are no signs of oil and coolant mixing. You're welcome to have the truck inspected at your expense before purchasing. You can drive it as is.
The truck has a couple of small holes in the bed (shown in the photos). The cab corners are in great shape, but the middle sections of the rocker panels are beginning to rust through.
I work from home and rarely drive the truck anymore, so I'd rather see it go to someone who will put it to good use. I'm simply hoping to recover some of the money I've invested in maintenance and repairs.
