They have been modified from original. The front 1/2" particle board baffle was removed and replace with 3/4" MDF. The crossover used a fixed 1.8-ohm resistor to attenuate the tweeter. It was replaced with a 5-ohm variable resistor to give the user a 2 dB +/- in treble starting at 2,500 Hz. All the electrolytic capacitors and resistors are new.
The cabinets were striped and recovered along with new grill cloth. The terminal cups and binding post are in excellent condition.
Both speakers were tested with REW software. DCM speakers are known for their flat frequency response, please note the test was done to show both drivers are working and the range of the tweeter control only. The room response will affect the measurement.
These will voice match all of the CX and later TimeFrame series.
